SKYCITY Auckland

Kidz First Children's Hospital

SKYCITY has supported Kidz First since 2000, commencing with its founding sponsorship of the burns and plastics unit.  We've partnered with Kidz First on several different projects since then including a burns prevention awareness campaign, and the improvement of oral health services and education in the South Auckland community.

SKYCITY has demonstrated its support through various other activities including hosting annual Christmas parties for Kidz First outpatients and families, dedicating the Sky Tower Christmas lights to Kidz First, and nominating Kidz First as the recipient charity for funds raised at the 2001 and 2005 SKYCITY Starlight Symphony.

SKYCITY Auckland Community Trust

The SKYCITY Auckland Community Trust has supported South Auckland's children through its promotion of dental health for pre-schoolers.

In Round 9 (2004), Kidz First received a Trust grant to purchase a mobile dental caravan. This caravan is used on the streets of South Auckland promoting the dental health message to children and parents.

The SKYCITY Auckland Community Trust also granted $150,000 in each of Rounds 10 (2005) and 11 (2006) to support Counties Manukau Health in their collaboration with Auckland Regional Dental Services to improve oral health services in South Auckland.  A major component of which is the delivery of a Community Dental Clinic in Mangere.
