As a 5-star sponsor of the Starship Foundation, SKYCITY was proud to support the 2006 Starship Charity Ball.

Ball attendees experienced the opulence and mystique of the Orient - from lavish colours to exotic spices.

The event raised over $90,000 towards a Cryocatheter Machine for the Starship National Heart Unit. This machine is used to treat children with irregular heart rhythms. Patients currently have to travel overseas for this medical treatment.

SKYCITY has proudly supported the Starship Ball for many years with the 2005 ball raising over $80,000 towards a transportable heart bypass machine for the Starship Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.
