SKYCITY Starlight Symphony
Each summer over 200,000 people gather at the Auckland Domain to see some of New Zealand's finest musical talent perform at the SKYCITY Starlight Symphony.
The next SKYCITY Starlight Symphony will take place on Saturday 24 February 2007. The Starship Foundation has been nominated as the recipient charity.

The Event
The SKYCITY Starlight Symphony is a significant community event made possible by SKYCITY's sponsorship. In 2006 the event was supported by the SKYCITY Auckland Community Trust.
The programme featured a mix of contemporary, operatic and classical music.
The Charity
Every year SKYCITY selects one of its charity partners to be the recipient of any funds raised at the SKYCITY Starlight Symphony. Funds raised at the 2006 event went to Variety - The Children's Charity.
Members of the audience were invited to make a gold coin donation or purchase a light stick.

Award-Winning Event!
The 2002 concert won The Judges' Distinction Award - one of three major prizes at the NBR Arts Awards for Sponsorship of the Arts. The award was achieved in recognition of "a successful large scale, public event that brings music to the entire community."
