Who can apply?
The Trust will consider applications from community and charitable organisations involved in the following activities:
- Community projects which provide care, treatment or counselling, teach life skills, provide educational programmes or research
- Programmes which promote tourism to and within New Zealand, including support of programmes providing training for the tourism and entertainment industries
- Projects which promote arts and culture in New Zealand, including promotion, recognition and understanding of different cultures living in New Zealand.
Because more funds are likely to be requested than the Trust has available for distribution, priority will be given to applicant organisations:
- Whose application is for funding support for a specific purpose or project
- With a proven track record and/or ability to demonstrate a capacity to plan and undertake activities effectively and account for funds provided
- Able to show considerable initiative and effort in striving for self-reliance, which are able to make some financial contribution to the project
- Able to show a real need for trust support
- Which have pursued other avenues of funding and fundraising.
