The raupo fan floorpiece in the gaming floor lift lobby draws its formal character from both Western and Eastern iconographic traditions.
Terrazzo paving has an honourable lineage within our architectural tradition and superb examples can be seen on the floors of some of our prominent buildings.
Italian craftsmen were responsible for these works and the form was firmly established in Australia and New Zealand by migrant tradesmen from Italy where terrazzo traces back to early Roman antecedents.
