Designed by Gordon Moller, the atrium waterfall, dropping more than 20 metres, represents the natural world of Tane.
The stones represent earth, the vines (the copper piping running down the glass) represent growth and the water represents life.
The noise of the cascading water emulates the sounds of the New Zealand bush, the rain, the rushing stream of a gently trickling spring.
