Te Rau Oka Oka
This entrance piece is based on a contemporary interpretation of the traditional pare (lintel).
The triple composition features three atua (gods) with upraised hands, said to symbolise the God of the Forest, God of the Wind and God of the Ocean, who were prominent in the separation of Rangi and Papa.
The pare can also be seen as a waka formation or the hull of a yacht.
