A gem in the SKYCITY crown is, indisputably, dine by Peter Gordon. More than 2.5 million has been spent developing the space into what must be New Zealand’s most elegant dining room.
dine by Peter Gordon is designed to attract both avid foodies and those with adventurous palates to enjoy dishes prepared by talented chefs, and overseen by expatriate New Zealander, Chef Peter Gordon. The dine menu reflects Peter’s passion for carefully selected fresh ingredients, sensitive preparation and simple presentation. “I call it fusion cuisine – this is food that is very complex in the grouping of many different ingredients, which combine to complement one another perfectly. Fusion food blends ethnic, Asian and Pacific flavours with traditional European cuisine.” 

Bellota
This tapas bar is a modern take on the authentic Spanish tapas bar experience.  The menu is designed by Peter Gordon, showcasing a variety of complex tastes and textures, complemented by a wide range of Spanish and Euopean wines.
  

Orbit
More than a View. Orbit revolving restaurant is quite literally the top restaurant in Auckland, situated 190 metres off the ground. Located in the city’s most famous landmark, the Sky Tower, the dining room rotates, affording 360-degree panoramic views of Auckland City. Its customer base is around 50 percent local market – mostly special occasion diners, and 50 per-cent tourists. Fine dining at its highest pinnacle. 

SKYCITY Convention Centre
As New Zealand’s largest and most modern convention facility, the SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre is well placed to host events on a grand scale. 

SKYCITY Catering & Events
Offsite catering is another of our specialties. The SKYCITY team is as expert at providing the same high standards of food and beverage service at venues away from the Convention Centre as it is at home base. Events such as Cirque de Soleil and the annual Starlight Symphony are just two occasions where the skills of SKYCITY Catering and Events have been required. 

Fortuna Buffet Restaurant
Our largest buffet restaurant, Fortuna is one of the busiest sites within the SKYCITY complex. Attracting anywhere from 350-400 up to 500-700 customers a day. Fortuna attracts a high percentage of repeat business, testimony to the quality of the menu they produce. They combine the ideas and talents of their chefs with feedback from the customers to constantly focus on keeping the food interesting, and the chefs interested! 

Ming Court
SKYCITY has its own authentic Chinese restaurant, Ming Court, which has been very popular since the day it opened. Ming Court utilises the skills of some of the finest Asian chefs in New Zealand to provide a truly authentic dining experience. 

The Observatory
For SKYCITY visitors looking for seafood the sign points directly to The Observatory – a premium buffet restaurant located in what was formerly the outdoor viewing area of the Sky Tower, high above the city. The spacious, nautically themed venue, filled with natural light and uninterrupted views over Auckland has built an enviable reputation as offering some of the best seafood in town. Every taste is catered for, and those diners with a penchant for Asian flavours find particular satisfaction. 

Rebo
A busy street level café and bar located in the SKYCITY complex lobby, Rebo attracts custom from diners who work nearby and who treat it as their favourite lunch or coffee spot. The environment is casual, but the service is thoroughly professional. On the menu are wood-fired pizza, dishes of fresh contemporary NZ favourites, including fish, or something even lighter, like paninis. 

The Terrace
For guests of the SKYCITY Grand Hotel or locals “in the know”, The Terrace breakfast restaurant is a restful haven with the bonus of a spectacular view across an outdoor terrace to the Sky Tower. The Terrace has two primary purposes: to serve a high quality buffet breakfast for guests of The Grand Hotel and the general public, and to provide a full a la carte menu for 24 hour in-room dining. 

The Pastry Kitchen
Our Pastry Kitchen produces all pastry-associated items for SKYCITY, excepting those served in dine. This can involve manufacturing of 2,000 or more croissants, gateaus, cakes, slices, chocolates and more each day. Our customers look to us to come up with something special, imaginative and creative so the team needs to stay abreast of the latest international trends in patisserie fashion.
