All SKYCITY properties have established best practice host responsibility initiatives to ensure guests enjoy an environment that is safe, responsible, and regulated.
These include training for all staff in the responsible service of alcohol. For example:
- Intoxicated patrons will be excluded from entering the premises
- Alcohol consumption will be monitored and controlled
Training for all staff in problem gambling awareness and the responsible provision of gambling, including:
Promoting acceptable behaviour:
- Any person who is intoxicated, abusive or threatening to staff or other customers, causing conflict, or is otherwise unpleasant, may be escorted from the premises
- Patrons detected loan sharking or begging will be required to leave SKYCITY.
- Working closely with problem gambling service providers, community service organisations, customers with gambling problems and their family members.
- Providing non-smoking areas in excess of or in accordance with national or local legislation.
SKYCITY has a committed management team that ensures these initiatives are carried out at all SKYCITY sites.

Our Host Responsibility Objectives
SKYCITY Entertainment Group is a member of the Australian Casinos Association Responsible Gambling Taskforce.
The ACA's objective with host responsibility is to:
- Promote the casino industry as one that is a world leader in regulatory standards and professionalism, by promoting responsible gambling practices that reflect community expectations of the highest standards of probity and integrity.
- Ensure that the highest standards are applied across the industry and actively participates with governments, on behalf of its members, in devising and implementing strategies to combat problem gambling, including research.
The Responsible Gambling TaskForce has been established by the ACA to address problem gambling issues and to develop responsible gambling strategies, initiatives and programs.
