SKYCITY Hamilton Community Trust

About the Trust

The SKYCITY Hamilton Community Trust supports local grassroots organisations, and provides funds for community and charitable activities large and small.


The Trust aims to support local and regional organisations in undertaking community assistance and development work. The focus is on projects relating to health, education, tourism, the arts, culture and entertainment.

Trust grants are made, principally, but not exclusively, to benefit the people of the Waikato geographic area.

SKYCITY also has an extensive programme of community sponsorship activities, which support local events and organisations. For more information go to Sponsorships.

The funds available for distribution are 1.5% of the revenue from the casino operations of SKYCITY Hamilton. In 2007, SKYCITY Hamilton contributed $532,428 to the SKYCITY Hamilton Community Trust.

To date the SKYCITY Hamilton Community Trust has distributed more than $1.6 million to 394 local community groups and charitable organisations have benefited since the Trust was established in 2003.
