SKYCITY Adelaide's Poker Zone Expands As South Australia's Largest Tournament Ever Continues
As the only South Australian venue where Poker can be played legally using cash, SKYCITY Adelaide's Poker Zone is extending opening hours and expanding (from nine to become a dedicated a twelve-table area) as players across the State are jumping on board the ever growing Poker craze.
SKYCITY Adelaide is widely regarded by many as the original 'Home of Australian Poker' as the Adelaide Casino first
introduced Texas Hold'em to Australia in 1987. The venue has hosted many of Australia's top international players during
major tournaments, including Joe Hachem.
SKYCITY Adelaide Hold’em Championship Series Turns Up The Heat
SKYCITY Poker Zone players have the opportunity to share in the largest prize pool for a Poker tournament in South
Australia's history with the continuation of the SKYCITY Adelaide Hold'em Championship Series which launched in June.
With a total prize pool of over $450,000*, the twenty-two week Adelaide Hold'em Championship Series features satellite
tournaments every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 7pm and Saturdays from 2.15pm. The series culminates in two marathon
weekends and a three-day knock out final weekend in November.
Free Entry* & Learn To Play At SKYCITY Adelaide
Every Monday, SKYCITY Adelaide features free entry* for players into the Adelaide Hold’em Championship Series. In addition,
there are free learn-to-play Texas Hold’em poker sessions which run from 6:00pm -6:45pm every Monday at SKYCITY Adelaide.
Sit & Go Tournaments
Sit and Go tournaments at the Poker Zone will be revamped from Thursday August 16 to include $50, $100 and $200 Sit &
Go tournaments.
Sit & Go Tournaments are either one or two table mini tournaments with one to four prizes available depending on the number
of players.
Play can commence with as few as two players and as many as 22.
Ladies Only Poker Series
A 'Ladies Only' Series will also commence from 23 August at SKYCITY Adelaide, offering female players the chance to win
cash and entry into the 'Ladies Only' Championship Event which will also be held in early November.
