SKYCITY GRAND HOTEL HONOURED AT PRESTIGIOUS HOTEL CLUB AWARDS

The online accommodation provider HotelClub.com.au recognised the best hotels and resorts in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, at a spectacular awards ceremony in Sydney this week. The top hotels throughout Oceania were announced, as were awards recognising Best Service, Best Boutique, Best Affordable, and Best Country Hotels in the region.

“Customer service is a primary focus of SKYCITY, and this award recognises the outstanding way in which our staff have exceeded both guest and company expectations. We are delighted to have won this award for the second year in a row.”

SKYCITY Darwin has also won the award for Top Hotel in the Northern Territory alongside Sails in the Desert Hotel.

This year a record 70,000 consumers globally cast 120,000 votes. Of the 5,500 hotels that received votes, only 300 hotels were shortlisted in the Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Island region based on the total number of votes received.

Consumers were asked to nominate hotels based on the following criteria and to provide a score out of 10 for each criterion - with 10 being the highest - ambience, family friendliness, rooms, restaurant facilities, cleanliness, business facilities, location, leisure facilities, staff attitude and value for money.
