SKYCITY Slowdown Dinner

The new ‘Signals Bistro’ restaurant at SKYCITY Adelaide Casino will play host to the West End Slowdown IX Gala Dinner on Wednesday October 1 at 7.15pm in celebration of former greats of the game we love, coming together on Monday October 6 at AAMI Stadium, to play for the Berry McLean Cup in the West End Slowdown IX.

The West End Slowdown IX Gala Dinner is just one of many events held by the McGuinness McDermott Foundation’s Captain Club.
The evening hosted by Channel Seven’s Chris Dittmar will be attended by debutant players Nathan Bassett, Darryl Wakelin, captain of the Port team Matthew Primus and five-time gold medallist Paralympian Matt Cowdrey.

“We are all set for another fabulous day on Monday October 6th at AAMI Stadium for the 9th West End Slowdown, and the gala dinner will kick off the celebrations in style! We are thrilled SKYCITY Adelaide will again host the gala dinner for us, it’s a great night and a fabulous way to ring in the annual West End Slowdown.” Executive Director Tony McGuinness said.

The Captains Club was set up by the Foundation in October 2007 to celebrate the success of Captains of industry and the Captains of our much loved two AFL teams, Adelaide Football Club and Port Adelaide Football Club. The Captains Club allows a group of 200 highly successful people in two areas of our community to come together in a professional networking opportunity to raise money for the benefit of seriously ill kids in SA.
