The Trust aims to support local and regional organisations in undertaking community assistance and development work. The focus is on projects relating to health, education, tourism, the arts, culture and entertainment. Trust grants are made, to benefit the people of the Queenstown Lakes District geographical area. SKYCITY also has an extensive programme of community sponsorship activities, which support local events and organisations. The SKYCITY Queenstown Casino Community Trust if funded by an annual contribution of 2.5% of the net profit from the operation of the casino, or a minimum of $100,000 per annum. In 2007, SKYCITY Queenstown contributed $102,942 to the SKYCITY Queenstown Casino Community Trust. To date the SKYCITY Queenstown Casino Community Trust has granted over $615,000 to more than 140 organisations and community groups. Trust Recipients
